Transfer Scholarships

Transfer Scholarship Deadlines occur each semester:

Spring Transfers – November 1 deadline

Fall Transfers – June 1 deadline

Students are automatically awarded merit transfer scholarships based on their credit hours and GPA. Students must submit a Phi Theta Kappa letter or certificate to admissions@una.edu for additional awards.

Merit Scholarships for Transfer Students
2.00 - 4.00 GPA*
$2,000 per year
3.00 - 3.24 GPA + 30 Credit Hours
$3,000 per year
3.25 - 3.74 GPA + 30 Credit Hours
$3,500 per year
3.75 - 4.00 GPA + 30 Credit Hours
$4,500 per year

Transfer scholarships are based on a student’s GPA from their previous institution(s). Students must be first-time transfers to qualify for a transfer scholarship**

*Students with fewer than 30 transferable credits qualify for $2,000 per year between a 2.00- 4.00 GPA

**Students who have previously transferred may qualify for a Finish discount.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Students who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society will qualify for an additional $1,000/year scholarship. Students must have their PTK advisor submit a letter stating that they are a member in ‘good standing’, or students can submit their Official PTK Certificate to the Office of Admissions (admissions@una.edu) by November 1, 2025 (Spring 2026) or June 1, 2026 (Fall 2026).

Through the efforts of the 最新糖心Vlog Foundation and the generosity of private donors, the Office of Student Financial Aid awards numerous scholarships each academic year. Scholarships are offered by various colleges, departments, and offices throughout the University.

The Endowed Scholarship Application will open on November 1st at una.edu/endowed. The application deadline is March 2nd.

Alternative Academic Scholarships

The below scholarships are not stackable with merit-based awards listed above. Instead, these awards are designed to offer high-performing students an opportunity for increased scholarship funds associated with specific majors, or flexible, non-stackable discounts that offer more flexibility for students who are not enrolled full time.

Students majoring in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, Occupational Health Science, Engineering, and Engineering Technology are eligible to apply for the Scholarship of Distinction, which covers up to full cost of tuition.
